1-Served as a planning member for the Maine Library Conferences for several years
2-Contributed a chapter to the book Library Services in Mental Health Settings published by Scarecrow Press in 1997.
3-Served as a member of the Chelsea(ME) budget committee for close to 20 years.
4-Served as chair of the Chelsea (ME) planning board for several years. Helped rewrite the town comprehensive plan during that time.
5-Past president and treasurer of The Friends of Maine Libraries.
6-Helped plan and put on the two and only Maine Sweepstakers Conventions in Portland.
7-Past membership chair of the Health Sciences Libraries Information Consortium of Maine.
8-Presenter in Washington, DC at the Association of Mental Health Librarians, 1997.
9-Member of the Hartland budget committee.
10-Co-founder and treasurer of the Maine Balsam Libraries Consortium, as well as ongoing mentor for five member libraries.
11-Regular supporter of Somerset County schools through Donor’s Choose.org (including several fully funded projects at the Canaan School as well as one at Somerset Middle school and one at Nokomis High).
12-Used non-winning instant lottery tickets to get a new Chromebook for the fourth grade at the Somerset Middle School.
13-Developed a best in the state music and movie collection at the Hartland Public Library.
14-Supporter and donor to the Hartland Fire Auxiliary Christmas Fund for Children.
15-Member of the board of trustees of the Hartland Public Library.
16-Created the Publisher’s Hall of Shame, an international database of poorly bound books that forced the publishing industry to improve the quality of their product.
17-Created and still manage Maine Interchangeable Parts-MIPS, a database of partial sets and extra copies of audio books and TV series on discs to reduce waste and recycle materials among Maine libraries.
